Admin Controls

You run it, and nothing can get away from you.

Your practice runs its own device. You add the people, you decide who sees what, and a few limits hold no matter what anyone does.

A daily spending cap part way used, roles that see only their own assistants, and no way in from the internet.

The three answers.

  1. You add your own people

Add a member of staff, give them their role, reset a password when someone is locked out. It is your practice's device and your team list.

  2. You switch features on and off

Dictation and Shared Memory are yours to turn on when the practice is ready and off again if it is not. Nothing waits on us.

  3. Roles are enforced, not hidden

Each role gets its own assistants and sees only those. The device enforces it, so what a role cannot see, it cannot reach. Every change is recorded.

  4. A daily ceiling, and no way in from outside

Your practice has a daily spending ceiling, and it is a cap rather than a warning. Your team signs in at your own address from inside the office: no public login page to find, and no way in from the open internet.

What leaves, what stays.

A runaway bill is impossible by design

Not unlikely, not monitored: the cap is enforced where the requests leave, so there is no path by which a curious new member of staff runs up a surprise. This is the difference between a budget and a limit.

We stay out of your team list

Adding a person, changing a role and resetting a password are yours to do. We set the device up and look after it; who works at your practice is not something you should have to ask us about.

No public door to defend

Most of what goes wrong with a cloud tool starts at a login page that anyone on the internet can reach. Marling does not have one. The device answers only on your own network.

Questions careful people ask.

What happens when we hit the cap?

Requests stop for the rest of the day and pick up again the next. The number is yours; tell us what you want it to be and we set it.

Who can change what?

You name one person as the practice's administrator when the device arrives. They add and remove people, reset passwords, and switch Dictation and Shared Memory on or off. Everyone else gets their role's assistants and nothing more. We look after the device itself underneath all of that.

Can we use it from home?

It works on your own network, or through your own VPN if you have one. There is no way in from the open internet, on purpose. Many solo practitioners work from a home office, where the device simply lives.
