The people behind Marling.

Rashan Hodge

Founder & Principal Engineer

Rashan spent his career in security at Palo Alto Networks and X (formerly Twitter), where the job was making sure a very large company never had to worry about where its data went. Marling is that same work, for the offices that were never going to get a security team of their own.

He builds the product: the features themselves, the infrastructure they run on, and the security underneath all of it.

Rachel Steele

Cofounder, Product & Design

Rachel spent seven years in product support at Intuit Mailchimp, then moved into enterprise IT at Hermeus, running identity and endpoint under security rules set by federal contract. She helped direct the build of an internal AI platform there, for the same reason Marling exists: the company’s own work could not go into a public chat window.

How Marling looks and feels, what it costs, and who we build it for are hers, shaped by a background in user experience design.
